Description

This is a stunning, original ‘Bronwyn’ Maggie Sottero bridal gown. (Certificate of authenticity and receipt provided.) It was purchased in late 2013, from Raffaele Ciuca in Melbourne, and worn for my February 2014 wedding. The dress is freshly dry cleaned and in impeccable condition, now stored in its original cover.

The dress is gorgeous, with intricate, ivory lace and tulle covering a separate satin slip gown of pale gold. It comes with a matching, pale gold satin sash. The gown is just lovely to wear – it’s as light, flowing and comfortable as it looks! The fishtail, slim line gown is figure hugging and flattering, and with a v-neckline and cap sleeves. The modest train is long enough to feel truly bridal but short enough so it can be easily held above ground with a hand loop. The beautiful key-hole open back is finished with covered ivory buttons over a sip. It’s simple and fast to get in and out of, so no stress on the big day.

The dress is made to fit an Australian size 8, with 12B bust. The dress was hemmed to suit my height of 164 cm with small (2 inch) heels). Some clever alterations have been made by a talented seamstress:
– Bra cups inserted (no need to buy underwear!) and connected to the bust of the dress with a few tiny stitches
– A matching hand loop inserted to hold the train out of the way for walking and dancing
– A bustle hidden beneath the train, which easily holds it out of harm’s way, with one invisible eye hook on each side of the skirt, which holds the sides of the dress up neatly to make the bustle look neat and the skirt fall evenly.

I paid $2,185 for this spectacular gown, plus $300 worth of alterations. Now selling for $1,500 – a bargain for a designer dress in perfect condition!
