I have decided to part with my wedding dress so that it doesn’t take up room in the wardrobe anymore. I had my wedding dress made to measure but it fits about a size 10. I looked at so many dresses and this dress was just so different to the rest I fell in love with it. Please forgive my descriptions as I am not very well worded in ‘dress making’ jargon. Refer to the photos for clarification of what I am trying to say or please ask any questions.

It has a separate top and skirt. The top is white with a silver lace overlay. It has detailed plaited silver thread as the stitching along top and bottom edges with matching twin plaited straps over each shoulder. There are built in cups in the top so that a bra is not necessary. It has an open lace up back, meeting at the bottom in a ‘V’ shape. The top has an asymmetrical neckline – slanted so that the right hand side is higher than the left and also has the same slant at the waist – creating a point at the left hip.

The skirt is white with a ‘V’ slice at the front left revealing the same lace pattern as the top. The point created by the slanting of the top centralises in the ‘V’ of the lace strip on the skirt. There is a small circular train about 1metre in length which can be ‘hitched’ up on a button at the back if needed (especially good for those outdoor photos where it may trail through dirt or for doing the ‘first dance’).

I wore an A line hoop under the skirt which will be included with the sale of the dress. I also have a silver trimmed veil of medium length, finishing around hip height (which is being sold separately – see my other ad).

The dress was bought from Bella Bridal House in Lansvale (I don’t think it is in existence anymore). The dress was originally $1600, and the hoop $77 coming to a total value of $1677. I am selling the dress and hoop for $670 which is 40% of the original price (60% off!).

The dress is for pick-up from Drummoyne (Sydney), 2047. It is only a short 15 minute drive from the city over the Anzac bridge (unless you choose to drive in peak-hour and then who knows how long it may take). I may be able to deliver it to you, depending where you live – at sellers discretion. I am open to people viewing the dress without any commitment to purchase.
