Your wedding was an outstanding success, the honeymoon was perfect and starting your life together has been everything you ever hoped it would be, until the bills for day to day living start rolling in.

You may have had a carefully planned budget starting out, but things don’ t always go exactly to plan, and unfortunately budgets can be difficult to meet. Whatever the reason, you could find that you are in need of a little more cash than you originally thought. Maybe you should consider selling your wedding dress and reinvesting the proceeds into your new life.

The alternative, keeping your wedding dress in good condition requires specialized knowledge which is not something that everyone has access to. It is probably easier to sell the wedding dress, rather than focus on trying to store it, to be used at a later date. You could have some much needed cash, and avoid the worry that regardless of your efforts the dress will deteriorate over the years, and be worthless.

Of course there are many reasons why you don’t want to Sell your wedding dress, almost all of them being sentimental, but if you can get past those reasons, you could find simply selling that dress would offset a big chunk of your wedding debts. Sentiment is good, but it can’t get you out of a financial jam.

Maybe you are thinking that you can pass your wedding dress over to your daughter when it is her time to get married. Maybe you sense that this would start a great tradition, but you may never have a daughter, and if you do, she, (like you), might prefer a brand new dress, and by the time she marries the styles might be a very different.

On the other hand, there are many young brides right now, who simply can’t afford the considerable prices that are being charged for a new wedding dress. Selling yours could make an enormous difference in the life of another. That does not mean that you should try and sell it on your own, but with a little help you will soon find that  the right bride will again be wearing it.

Before you decide whether to preserve your wedding dress, or to sell it, you will need to weigh up all of the sentimental, as well more tangible factors mentioned here.

If you do decide to pass on a little of your joy to another you can be sure that someone, somewhere will be thanking you.

Your choice will not only make it possible for another to be married in style, but will increase your own choices in the near future by adding to your bank balance and your husband will appreciate that.
